You will lead technical analysis, manage project delivery, and build strong client relationships while working alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes. This role is ideal for an experienced transport professional who is passionate about shaping sustainable, efficient, and people-focused transport infrastructure.

The Opportunity

  • Lead the planning, assessment, and design of transport infrastructure, including roads, bus and rail stations, terminals, and master-planned developments.
  • Manage and deliver traffic impact assessments, transport studies, traffic surveys, and accessibility and circulation planning for a range of developments.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing trusted technical advice, delivering high-quality presentations, and supporting proposals and business development activities.
  • Supervise project teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to Arup's high standards of quality, with collaboration across Vietnam and regional teams.
  • Work closely with clients and multidisciplinary colleagues across Vietnam and the Asia region to develop practical, innovative, and sustainable transport solutions.

At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective – in which we encourage individuality to thrive. Our strength comes from how we respect, share and connect our diverse experiences, perspectives and ideas.

You will have the opportunity do socially useful work that has meaning – to Arup, to your career, to our members and to the clients and communities we serve.

Is this role right for you?

  • A degree in Transport Planning, Transport Engineering, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related discipline, with postgraduate qualifications viewed favourably.
  • A relevant professional licence in Vietnam and 6–10+ years of experience in transport planning, traffic engineering, transport modelling, or public transport projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Vietnamese traffic engineering and transport planning practices, with experience delivering projects for municipalities, transport operators, and major developments.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills, with the ability to work directly with clients, prepare technical reports, and contribute to winning new work.
  • A proactive, collaborative, and adaptable approach, with fluency in both English and Vietnamese and the willingness to travel within the region as required.
