Our Los Angeles office is seeking a Senior Facade Engineer who will collaborate with architects and other building professionals to design and deliver exciting, world class buildings.

Responsibilities:

       Participate and actively contribute to design workshops, where cladding solutions are explored and determined. Workshops will be with architects and fellow professionals and with the cladding industry.

       Sketch details to develop ideas and to explain concepts and produce drawings, specifications, and reports, and coordinating the work of others.

       Comment on cladding industry submittals and RFIs.

       Witness testing and prepare associated technical reports. Carry out factory visits, site inspections, and preparing associated technical reports.

       Supervise and coordinate the work of other team members and coordinating work with building professionals of other disciplines. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team.

       Communicate with clients to establish their needs and maintain a dialogue throughout the project.  

       Manage project teams to ensure production of deliverables to agreed timelines and within budget.

 

Qualifications:

       Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in the built environment

       Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering or building technology, master’s degree preferred.

       In-depth technical and design skills related to building envelope design and detailing. US (West Coast) cladding industry experience preferred.

       Experience with a variety of systems and materials and experience with 3-D computer modeling and analysis packages.

       Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal).

       Ability to understand the balance of priorities on differing projects and develop and maintain client relationships.

       Demonstrated planning and organization skills and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Los Angeles is $105,000 to $120,000 per year. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Los Angeles will differ.
