Arup is seeking a passionate Flood Modelling Engineer to join our Flooding team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects, including highways, rail, master planning, major bridges, environmental, and local government initiatives. You'll be part of a collaborative team with a global reach, delivering innovative and high-quality flood analysis solutions across a wide range of sectors.
The Opportunity
• Support the delivery of flood design and analysis as part of multidisciplinary teams.
• Apply your knowledge of flood modelling techniques (1D, 2D, combined 1D/2D) in real-world projects.
• Contribute to hydrologic analysis using industry-standard software such as TUFLOW, HECRAS, URBS, RORB, and RAFTS.
• Assist with the preparation and review of design reports, ensuring high-quality outputs and compliance with relevant guidelines.
• Build strong relationships within the team and collaborate on projects with both local and international colleagues.

Is this role right for you?
• A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a keen interest in flood modelling.
• Experience with flood modelling and hydrologic analysis software (e.g. TUFLOW, HECRAS, URBS, RORB, etc.).
• Experience in Water balance modelling (e.g. GoldSim) and/or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling (e.g. Flow 3D) is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to clearly present findings and recommendations.
• A collaborative, team-oriented approach with a commitment to excellence and quality in all aspects of work.
